So this happened… – what?! That time my beloved friends popped by to pop some bubbly for SOCIAL CHANGE + TECHNOVATION – how grateful, lucky, and surprised was I? So humbled and delighted to be closing out my very first ACCELERATE with a Cleveland Foundation TECHNOVATION award and Community Partner Grant.

TECHNOVATION is a Judge’s Choice Award for Cleveland’s Top TECH + INNOVATION Idea at Cleveland Leadership Center’s ACCELERATE competition, selected from 60 submission entries.

A few lightning rounds with the judges during my SOCIAL CHANGE + TECHNOVATION Q+A video sessions with links below.

Special thanks to my friends, family, and colleagues for your support on this adventure! Thanks also to Jen Jones Donatelli for introducing me and encouraging me to even apply on a whim. A link to my OTHER BROWN GIRL civic pitch video here….

OTHER BROWN GIRL (OBG) is a Brown-owned, woman-owned social impact community storytelling platform that encourages WOMEN of CULTURE leading COLORFUL + CREATIVE LIVES to spark deeper diversity conversations through design + digital storytelling. Through the OBG brand, website, blog, podcast, city + in-school programming, multicultural diversity panels, + mentoring, OBG elevates multicultural voices + visibility. OBG creates a pipeline for mentoring and role modeling; links cities, educators, + companies through design + innovation; addresses the lack of modern multicultural female representation in media, creative entrepreneurship, + speaking roles; and expands diversity, equity, + inclusion to include a first- and second-generation multicultural immigration lens.

“As a Brand Strategist, Chief Optimist, + the original OTHER BROWN GIRL, I deeply believe in the power of BRAND, BUSINESS, + HUMAN POTENTIAL through modern diversity, design + digital storytelling adventures.

I am inspired + delighted to share the stage with my peer presenters for Accelerate + Technovation – all thanks to Cleveland Leadership Center, Citizens Bank, + Cleveland Foundation!” - Jing Lauengco, TECHNOVATION Winner
